Tell us a little about you! I’m really glad to get this opportunity to share my designs with everyone at DigiDares. I love creating and designing. I constantly have ideas floating around in my head and if I can’t get them out soon I start to get restless. Since I am a full time kindergarten teacher I often have days go by before I can get time to create and design. Teaching is my other passion though. I love teaching! I must love it because this school year will be my 30th kindergarten class to teach! My ultimate passion though is my family. I just celebrated my 30th anniversary with my husband. We have 2 grown children and 1 grandson who is the center of attention right now. We love spending time with our children and grandson. Some of our favorite times are spent on our farm just being together, having s’mores in our backyard fire pit, playing cards and games, and watching movies.
What’s your favorite quote? I have lots of favorite quotes that I hang up around my computer for inspiration. Some of them are…. I may not be better than other people but at least I’m different. -Jean Jacques Rousseau You are not stuck where you are unless you decide to be. -Wayne W. Dyer
What’s your biggest inspiration in life? God and family are first then comes my students.
What’s your favorite part of digital scrapbooking? Creativity is unleashed with digital. You can resize anything, flip it over, use it over and over and never run out, recolor it and none of it is permanently stuck if you don’t like it which allows for lots of experimentation and no fear when trying something new!
How long have you been designing? I have been designing for 5 years now.
What is your design style? What kind of inspiration do you hope to achieve with your products? I love to try new things all the time and incorporate my own “real” art whenever I can such as watercolor painting and other art techniques I love to experiment with. So it’s really hard to pinpoint my style. I like to use a lot of swirls and plumes in my work. You will see them in my vintage kits and in my more whimsical kits too.

Do you scrap? What would you say your style is? I love to do all kinds of scrapping and I have a big selection of traditional scrapping supplies. I love the challenge of hybrid scrapping which really allows for lots of creativity! My style depends on my mood at the moment.
Would you rather be limited to using only papers on your layouts or only elements (if you had to choose)? I would choose elements but I’m finding my mind going back and forth between papers and elements.
What’s your favorite product you’ve created? At the moment it would be my Garden Surprise series. I created them using a variety of my art products in different combinations with each other. I had so much fun creating the papers and elements. I wish you could see the original papers I created, it’s very hard to get all the subtle details converted over to digital but I think the kit is pretty close.
What software do you use? I use Photoshop CS2 and am eyeing the new PSCS4 right now. I may have it when this article comes out. It can do some cool new things that 2 cannot do.
