Digi Dare #210

Happy New Year!
Stacey here with my very first dare for you. But first, let me choose a winner. Congratulations, Gemamac!

I love the monochromatic color scheme, blended photo and beautiful clustering. The title work is quite striking too! But it’s the photo and the journaling that stole my heart. How can you not fall in love with Wayne, the Snow Angel?

And here is the random winner, Becki:

Congratulations, ladies! Please e-mail us at digidares attttt gmail dotttt commm. Thank you to everyone who participated in this dare.  Your layouts were both meaningful and beautiful.

Now, on to my Dare to you. It’s the end of 2010 and magazines are publishing their “Year in Review” issues. I thought it would be fun to create our own “Year in Review” magazine cover to remember some fun and important stuff from our activities in 2010.

DARE FLAIR:
1. Create an 8×10 magazine cover:

  • Use a title of a real magazine or make up one of your own. If you are using a real magazine title, Google its font for added realism.
  • The issue’s focal title should coordinate with your photo and include the words “The {Fill in the blank} of 2010” – examples, The Most Fascinating Person of 2010, The Best Home Makeover of 2010, The Best Garden of 2010, The Best Gymnast of 2010, The Most Improved Student of 2010, The Coolest Car of 2010, The Coolest Driver of 2010.
  • In one area of the magazine cover indicate that this is the 2010 Year in Review issue.
  • Include at least 4 article titles that relate to your 2010 activities.
  • Additional photos are not necessary, but may be included.

2. Flatten the 8×10 cover and copy it to a 12×12 canvas to add papers and embellishments.
